The processability of PVC is not necessarily easy, Processing aids are unique additives which improve the processability of PVC dramatically with only small addition.
Acrylic process aids have very good compatibility with PVC and have longer chains than PVC, the number of entranglements will increase during processing and under shear.

These entranglements acting as physical Cross-links during processing and add rubbery characteristics to PVC compound.

Processing aids can generally provide the following benefits:

High molecular weights are also increasing the viscosity of the melt, as evidenced by higher torques and pressures during extrusions, higher torques in plastographs.

Processing aids can generally provide the following benefits:

 1. Promote fusion and Add elasticity  2. Add lubrication
 Promote compound fusion
Improve surface gloss
Promotes die swell (prevents draw down)
Improve hot melt strength
Improve appearance of PVC foam
 Improve raw material dispersion
 Improve metal release
Prevents build-up of product
Prevents plate-out
Delays fusion and reduce torque
